Spring is unfolding in all its glory here in California, with sunny days, mild temperatures, and blooms of all description adorning fields and gardens. Students are enjoying their spring break and will return with less than two months to go before the end of the semester. Meanwhile, even during the break, faculty and staff are working on plans for reopening DRBU in person when the fall semester begins in mid-August. In furtherance of that goal, all DRBU faculty and staff have been fully vaccinated against Covid. As vaccination availability continues to expand in the U.S., we are requiring returning students to be vaccinated before they arrive on campus. While our Zoom classes have continued to support our “shared inquiry” pedagogy quite well, we are all looking forward to being together again. We all enjoy periodic photo “updates” from the CTTB campus, and I’m happy to report that the deer and the peacocks will be there to welcome us when we return!
