Admissions Process
Our admissions process is just like our approach to education: holistic and personally engaged. One of the privileges of being a small university is that we are able to take the time to get to know every applicant. We want to get to know you as a person, and not just as a number.
Get to Know Us
We understand that choosing a college is a big decision. We want to make sure you have the knowledge you need to decide if DRBU is the right fit for you. We encourage all applicants to take the time to learn about our unique programs and community.
Admissions Process
Ready to get started? Here's a preview of what to expect.
The first step is to submit your application. Each program has its own application deadlines and requirements. Read more about the requirements for each program and, when you’re ready, submit your application through our online application portal.
Qualified applicants will be invited to interview with the admissions committee. Because we are a small university, we take the time to meet and speak with every applicant through an interview process. This not only helps us in our evaluation, but also gives you the opportunity to learn more about our unique program so you can decide if DRBU is the right place for you. This is a two-step process:
- The first step is to set up a meeting with our Director of Admissions who will tell you more about DRBU and give you a sense of what to expect in your interview. This first meeting is purely informational and will not affect the status of your application.
- The second step will be the interview with the admissions committee, composed of DRBU faculty and staff, who will ask you questions about yourself and your application.
You will receive your admissions decision soon after meeting with the admissions committee, typically within 1-2 weeks. You should receive your decision within six weeks of submitting your application.
Acceptance remains provisional until after DRBU has received and favorably reviewed the following:
- Final transcript, which should establish satisfactory coursework through the end of your final year.
- Student health and registration forms.
DRBU retains full discretion to withdraw an offer of admission at any time. An offer of admission may be rescinded if the University discovers behavior, past or present, that brings into question an admitted student’s honesty, maturity, moral character, or ability to follow the DRBU Student Code of Conduct. See the rescission of admissions policy for further details.
After being admitted into the program you may submit an application for financial aid. All students admitted to DRBU are eligible to apply. You will receive a confirmation email once your application for financial aid has been received. Please allow four weeks for the application to be processed. You are welcome to apply and receive a preliminary estimate of financial aid earlier in the process. However, only students admitted to DRBU will receive a financial aid award.
